Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden title for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult period, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his first trophy after the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Success also means he has won twenty-one titles at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my both daughters at once, so to get a title is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted observers to question if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform positively, supported by an better serve.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The pair exchanged break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour title, took control to force a final set.
He saved 4 initial chances in a close deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he clinched the win with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
